Service is everything

Marie-Anne has decided on a dress and I have it on good authority that she looks very beautiful in it and grinned like a Cheshire Cat the whole time she was wearing it.

Good service is everything. No less than 3 companies have recently lost our business because of their poor service.

Marie-Anne liked two dresses, both of which were in different shops and were it not for the lady in one of the shops being aptly named "bitchface" by Marie-Anne's mum then she probably would have bought the dress from her!

The wedding industry is a really nasty industry where most of the people working in it only care about how much money they can make from you rather than helping you to create a truly special day.

We went out today looking for suits for Daniel and two places immediately lost our custom. The first offender was Moss Bros Hire. In an empty shop with no less than 3 members of staff they decided that they were too busy to talk to Daniel about suit hire options and/or to try some things on. Was it just coincidence that they stopped being interested when Daniel said it would just be for him and no groomsmen? We didn't think so either.

The next offender was Young's Hire, a company working in Debenhams as a concession. The sales people there were truly aggressive, rude, uninterested in our custom and extremely condescending. Again, this coincided with Daniel explaining that he only needed a grooms suit with no groomsmen.

Needless to say they did not get our business.

Daniel ended up going with a lovely company in Bristol called 'Frocks and Tails' whom whilst more expensive than Young's and Moss Bros were attentive and polite but most importantly made us feel welcome and as though our business was valued. He also looked extremely dashing in his morning suit which is saying something because he is always just so effortlessly handsome.

He will be wearing a grey morning suit with an ivory waistcoat and red cravat in case anyone wants to colour co-ordinate. Button-hole-wise he will probably have a white/ivory garden rose to match his waistcoat.

Three companies will report a little less profit this year all because of how they treated us. It just goes to show that good service really is everything.
